Back to work!

My research began with the question “How can I motivate students, who have a hard time getting to work themselves, in a personal and playful way?”. That’s how I designed the game “Back to work!”. During my internship I guided some lazy students. They inspired me to start this project. I wanted to motivate them on a personal level, even outside school hours.

This is a board game where you must do real-life work to be able to play the game. The more tasks you complete, the more turns and money you get, the more likely it is that you will win the game! You play by a character that fits the best to your motivation-profile. The character will give you advances that are similar to your motivational interests. This will motivate you on a personal level and makes working in real-life extra fun!
