My neighbor and me

How do people relate to each other in a big city? What means do we use to guarantee our privacy? I see the garden gates, curtains and fences. Every individual seems to want his or her own safe place. I was born in a small village, so it makes me uncomfortable to live as close together as I do in the city now. In my project “My Neighbor and me” I photograph my different “neighbors”. I am referring to everything my neighbor could be. That could be a cat, hedge, bird or a neighbor. In a voyeuristic way I give a glimpse into the lives of the people with whom I share a city.
