Have allure for dinner, gold pizza and a pollock on the wall.

Money is a prominent part of being an artist and art itself and has formed a paradoxical duality within the art world. As an artist it isn’t a primary concern, you want to create art because you have something to tell, not to make money. The other side of the coin is that you must still pay your bills, put food on the table and want to have some fun occasionally. In my publication I explore the contradiction between the art world and money. In which a balance has shifted towards art being seen as a commodity for the rich to prove that they are engaged and in touch with the public. All the while artists are struggling to make ends meet.
