“And the audience is invited to sing along”
As I search for answers—what is it to live?
Working with such intimate medium as the vocals, voice, written word, melody, and intervention; I think about the way we relate to ourselves and other people through emotional filters; it’s a constant tug of war between coming near, showing all, and keeping the viewer, the participant, the other, at arm’s length;
my work is about experiencing; I want you to feel something; whether it is nostalgia, nerves, calmness, fun, discomfort — that’s not for me to dictate. The most important thing to me is that you experience something personal, something real;
promoting the flow of emotional energy; it is imperative to confront myself, my wounds, fascinations and dig deeper, to find and offer myself and others an interactive playground where we can feed off each other and, hopefully, find answers, grow in attitudes that we can bring back into our daily life.
