I am an artist who wants to open the conversation by converting personal experiences into work. By making work, I process my own experiences and make them discussable with people around me. This creates a conversation between me and the viewer. My work is often a reflection of my state of mind and the processing of personal traumas. Why do I want to encourage others to be open and vulnerable?

In my film ‘As it used to be’ I enter into conversations with my family members about the past. My personal motivation for having these conversations with my parents is because I have always been curious about my father’s childhood. My brother and I have never known our father’s parents and I am especially curious about who those people are and why they are not part of our lives. My parents have been asking for years: When should you explain this to your children? And now the time has finally come for us to talk about it.
