Overconsumption and overproduction is a common topic that many of us are aware of. But it’s not often seen in the context of interior- and product design. In that regard, we often desire the newest and trendiest items. That craving isn’t entirely our own fault, it’s also influenced by interior shops, magazines and TV-shows.
As my own solution to this problem, I created a concept for a series of products that are timeless and not sensitive to trends. I chose to use the power of a memory. Memories are one of the most valuable things a human being can possess.
I created a concept for a lamp, a vase and a jar, which are covered with materials loaded with personal memories. For example jewellery or shells. By creating a cover for the product from this material, the product can become a beautiful and useful keepsake in your interior.
