Masked Futures

A set of five blind boxed tarot themed art toys, that aren’t only fun to collect, but will also teach you everything about the meaning of tarot cards. Each art toy comes with a tarot card that can be AR scanned to reveal the meaning of the card and bring it to life.

For this project to take shape I used a mix of different techniques, The cards are digitally illustrated, the AR layers are 2D animated using After Effects, the 3D models were sculpted in Maya & Blender and 3D printed in an additive manner and painted by hand. To wrap it all up, digitally designed, laser cut blind boxes made out of lightweight balsa wood.
