By playing with narratives and their latent messages, I try to find out what other ideas live in myself and form my reality through these stories.

What does it mean when your favorite hero is someone who’s struggling with an identity crisis but chooses to deal with it by laughing it off?

My work and research focuses on the way stories are told in popular movies/TV shows and how the identification with the characters from these convincing worlds affects the psychological inner world of the viewer. Our modern visual culture feeds us with a constant stream of stories that through a repetitive and predictable structure, call for a automized set of reactions. This structure conditions us to think ourselves the protagonist of our own adventure and that our life should follow a certain, predestined path.

By playing with narratives and their latent messages, I try to find out what other ideas live in myself and form my reality through these stories. I make use of puppets and small figurines because these objects are a tangible bridging of the stories they come from and can strengthen the belief in these fake realities, thanks to their physical presence.
