Hanging from the ceiling is a meat and flesh like sculpture, when you look closer you can see it moving.

Inspired by morbid curiosity, which is an interest or curiosity about unpleasant things and the shapes and movements of deep, slimy sea creatures, I have developed a strong attraction to flesh or meat-like materials, like silicone, latex, and metal.

These sculptures ask the question, “Where is the line between something being solely horrific and something being horrific but interesting or appealing?” Using movement to experiment with adding a form of “life” to these sculptures. An abstract entity created by me but now being kept in motion by machines.

I want to play with the viewer’s curiosity and provoke an uncanny feeling. The sculptures are abstract but in a way also recognizable, letting the viewer have their own associations.
