This short animation explores how we treat what we own in a playful manner. Some people say they love their phones. The main character of this animation really loves his telephone. But he still discards his beloved phone the moment the newer version is launched. We’ve all thrown away a phone that more or less worked, haven’t we? You feel a little guilty but you still want a faster device. This is magnified in this animation and develops into a big drama. However, this phone doesn’t just let you put it aside. This is a well-made 3D animation with a lot of humor woven through the storyline. It has a clear message without talking down at to the viewer. “Billy’s Phone” aims to be a cool animation exploring a consumer based society!
