In my project, I set out to find a way to tell a story with characters that are not of human or animal nature.

The emotion in the droplets, combined with their inherently meaningless design, allows everyone to relate to my characters. It is a love story that can be interpreted as both self-love and romantic love.

Created with digital illustrations in a painterly, textured style and derived from a storyboard/animatic, this project has inherited the fluidity of animation. However, it also enjoys the detailed possibilities of the final medium, a graphic novel.
