Merel & Max  

Do you ever just want to get lost in the digital world of your phone, playing games, watching a movie or chatting with your friends and forget the responsibilities you have in the real world? Then your pet comes along and wants your attention, and even though you love them, you really want to continue losing yourself in the digital world of your phone?

This forgotten bond between pet and human is the focus of my story. In my animatic short you will see teenager Merel and her dog Max embark on an adventure in the forest that will test their friendship. The film is aimed at children between the ages of nine and twelve years old and in the teaser you will get a glimpse of the final animation.

‘Merel & Max’ is a story inspired by the memory of my own dog who helped me through tough times. She helped me look up from my phone and enjoy walking outside and exploring nature.
