Op=Op

Op=op is about how people buy too many useless plastic goods, because it’s the current trend.
My aim is to encourage the public to really think about the way they are consuming. This short animated film is about a character who is hungry in all ways, hungry for buying objects he does not need and hungry for food. We follow his journey watching him decide what is most important to him. He needs to eat, otherwise he will die, but what will he choose? Foods or goods?

Artist statement.

I am like a magpie, always looking for treasure. I prefer to make puppets for all purposes such as stop-motion and the form of puppetry. I prefer using organic materials such as paper-maché. I get my inspiration from the world around me. Some of the important subjects in my art are food and recycling as i believe you can reuse everything.
