Remain

Remain is a 3d animated sci-fi shortfilm that started as an experiment in worldbuilding. The experiment developed into the telling of the story of a spirited little robot that wants to escape the place where he was build. It’s inspired by the ongoing discussions about Artificial intelligence and the potential impacts of such technologies on society. Where the general discourse skews rather more towards the negative, ‘Remain’ highlights a more optimistic take on robots. By choosing to see the robots as an extension of human curiosity, we can hopefully see a more nuanced picture.
