Transparent

We all age. Small wrinkles form around the corners of our mouths and eyes. Imperfections appear on our skin, and our faces start to resemble those of our parents more and more.

‘Transparent’ is a video installation that explores the changes our bodies undergo as we age. It explores the complexities of skin and how physical traits are passed down from one generation to the next.

This personal project focuses on the visible transformations a person experiences over time. The wrinkles and imperfections that emerge on the skin are traces of a life lived. I aim to visually portray the impermanent by presenting fragments as a landscape that gradually evolves. The video installation provides a moment to pause and reflect on the aging process, which may resonate with our own experiences or those of the people around us. Through observing these moving images, we become aware that time does indeed pass, even if it goes unnoticed in our daily lives. This project offers the audience a glimpse into both the past and the future—a magnified view of the changes we all undergo.
