“Some things are more precious because they don't last long.” - Oscar Wilde

My passion for classical stories motivated me to create these pages. The adaptation illustrates the 11th chapter from the ‘1890 Uncensored Edition’. Some of you may be familiar with the story, and for others, this might be your first introduction.

The book tells the story of a young Englishman named Dorian Gray. He starts to perceive himself and the world differently when the painter Basil Hallward paints his portrait and introduces him to Lord Henry, who tells him his worth in society depends on his appearance and that with time, his value would fade. Although Lord Henry only spoke to him briefly, Dorian became vain and jealous of the ever-youthful painting. He made a wish that the portrait would age and he would forever look the same.
