It's a fine line between transparency in paper and transparency about paper.

Time to complete a study or time to build a room divider? You will have a different timeframe in mind for both topics; in my case, it took me the same amount of time to do both. Without one, the other cannot exist. What started as research into transparency in handmade paper ultimately became a realization of how much paper one art student uses in four years of study.

I shredded my sketches, notes, and prints from the past 3.5 years and used them in handmade paper. This paper is incorporated into my room divider; each screen symbolizes one year of study. Together with the shredded paper near the room divider, this represents approximately 70% of the paper I used during my study. Are you also curious about how much paper I used? Then come and take a look!
