In Search of a Lost Circus
Since primary school, I started drawing all the peculiarities I observed. As I grew up, I came to realize that what I perceived as “strange” was often deemed mundane by others. And conversely, what others found bizarre, I often saw as normal. It felt like I was living in a reversed world.
Within my artistic practice, I aim to blur the lines between fantasy and reality and to elevate everyday elements into something that speaks to the imagination. The common thread is a search between the borders of documentation and staging, where ambiguity thrives. While constantly seeking contradictions, I try to find ways to visually connect conflicting concepts, such as fact and fiction, and the familiar and the unknown.
