Mondjes Vol Meningen
Within our society there is not always enough room for people who think differently. However, this is something that crucial for further development of our world. New ideas and different insights must be stimulated from an early age. To enable children to develop their own opinion, it is important that children are able to stand on their own two feet. How do you create a safe space where children feel free to express themselves? In my opinion, an essential part of this has to do with learning to accept someone else’s vision. As soon as children are more open to each other’s opinions, they are more likely to give their own. ‘Mondjes Vol Meningen’ is a method that encourages primary school children in formulating and voicing their opinion through classroom exercises and games. It provides the opportunity to think together about why other people may think differently about things and why you have your own opinion. It encourages the understanding of others, while also helping a child to be better understood by others.
