The Six Souled Blessing
Had it not been for the unfortunate passing of my mother fifteen years ago, I wouldn’t have formed the deep bonds that I have with the six most important women in my life.
The pain of her absence has been soothed by the loving relationships I’ve built with these women, and I wanted to dedicate a personal piece of art to celebrate them, as a token of my gratitude.
I have portrayed them as the angels that they are to me, each holding an object that symbolizes something within our bond or characterizes their unique selves.
The pink, church-like environment depicts a place of worship, femininity, and, most of all, love. It’s a place where one can take a moment to stop and think about life in general — about how, despite life taking somber turns sometimes, the glass will forever be half-full.
