Manouk Streur, recently graduated as a visual artist, has been announced winner of the Jheronimus Atelier Prize 2023 (JAP). The prize is presented annually by the municipality of ‘s-Hertogenbosch as an opportunity to develop starting talent by giving a (free) studio at Willem Twee art space for a whole year.
Alderman Mike van der Geld (Culture): First, of course, a big compliment to Manouk and the work she creates. Very nice that she has developed so powerfully with an eye for greatness and guts, and at the same time knows how to translate this practically. Hopefully she can be an example for yet other artists, so that we can inspire even more people and give our cultural city even more colour.”
